Alcohol inks

Here I am using the Penny Black Flower Cascade stamp which has been stamped and embossed on glossy cardstock twice, once embossed in white and once embossed in gold. Choosing different areas I punched out three squares from the white part, three from the gold part and assembled to form a grid.

Can be used for different occassions.

Using up the scraps

So thankful when I can use up the scraps to make grid cards - and a card can always be a blessing to somebody.

And my second one using up all the blues and browns.

I hope you never throw the scraps away!

Home Decor Project in Grid fashion

Not squares this time but punched out Tags! It doesn't really matter what shape the grid forms, it's just the pattern and paper mix that gives a grid its effect. I loved making this!

I hope it gives you some ideas and inspires you to make one yourself, and if you do, I'd love to see it.
The tags are 5 1/2 by 3 1/4 cm, or 2 1/4 by 1 1/4 inch.

Spring

I had forgotten all about this card that I made sometime last year.

But as Spring is with us, it is relevant for this time of the year!

Postal Stamp

I stamped six times with a Postal Stamp from Hero Arts on a piece of text paper. I then did the same on patterned papers. I then cut out the centres and adhered to the text paper.

I added stamp stamping and a cut-out butterfly and prima flower.

Happy Sunday!

Two vintage grids

I always seem to use this stamp in January. Two recent grid cards in the vintage style. I have had good mileage out of this large stamp from Hampton Art.

This second one is very busy but I love doing this at times.

and so you can see the stamp I used, this is a card I made last year around this time, it got sold on Etsy:

I hope to have inspired you to save all the scraps, even the tiny pieces so that you can punch out squares and circles and just fit them all together to form a grid card!

Happy Sunday,
Jacqueline

Hoping you all  had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year.

I did post this on my other blog but it really needs to be posted on this blog as it is an alcohol ink inchie card stamped and gold/white embossed.

Mini inchies on a Tag-Card

I was recently in the United States and visited Michael's in Orlando. What a great store. I found a huge Paper Pack and this tag has been cut out from one of the sheets.

I adhered mini inchies to the centre and on this tag and using dimensional tape attached it to the middle of my card after adding some white ribbon. I used a free download swallow to decorate it.

I have to scan my cards nowadays as the photos I take don't reflect the real colors.

Thanks for popping by!

Fall colors

I wanted to use the Fall colors for a grid, so I picked out these six squares which were in my little 'punched out squares' tray to make another grid. Love this season.

Have a lovely Sunday.

Gold, purple and black

Using punched out squares from projects that did not amount to anything. This time I used two squares, relatively similar, to achieve a different effect. The swallow is a free download. I already miss them dipping into the pool for water in the evenings although our weather is still beautiful and warm!

Thanks for visiting!

A grid with blue tones

Sorting out the squares to form another grid and  use up the pieces I still have left.

So enjoyable to do! Gives me another card to bless somebody with.

Mix and match and added sewing

Another way to use up all the snippets and cut-outs which need to find a home. The added feature to this card is sewing, which I love to do ...
