ATC

I made an ATC with a little loop to hang it up and sent it to a lady who has an ATC tree - so she could hang it on her tree!

Grid hearts

I am not too keen on the word 'grid' and the word 'patchwork' feels a bit old fashioned. In fact all I love doing is mixing and matching papers and colors - I will have to make up my own word!

I made these a long time ago - pockets for tags. I have a template for the heart and just mixed and matched scraps until I was pleased with the result.

This is also called a 'grid' card

The official name for this type of masking is a 'grid'. I used all Hero Arts stamps for the patterns on the distressed sections.

Another grid I made for my blog day

On June 24th I shared a day on the blog with Shari Carrol. I made at least eight cards of which three were picked, this was not one of them.

Autumn colors for the Hero Arts challenge

Once I had my colors and squares punched out, I only needed to stamp the same image on the same color and assemble the grid. Just added a butterfly, a couple of flowers, a button and some bling, finishing up with some string and it was ready.

Grid for a challenge

Another grid for a challenge.

A tiny grid on a scrapling

There was a time that scraplings were very 'in' but they seem to have died out a bit.

A tiny grid card

The squares just seem to be getting smaller - that is because I never used to own a 1 by 1 inch paper puncher until May this year! I only had a very small one.

An inchie Arch

This was published in the Stampers' Sampler. There was a special call for grid cards.

Shabby Chic Challenge on Hero Arts

I really loved making this card, even recycling an old Christmas card for the ponsietta square. It came in second place.

A different design

This is another design, just using inchies and a couple of Hero Arts butterflies. This butterfly stamp was lost to the hoover.. never found it again.

Bigger blocks for a grid

This was my first grid card using bigger blocks, thus six, two for a row.

Grid card for a Hero arts challenge last year

I made this card in June 2008 - I really love this color combo as I never use coral with light blue. It's a question of finding the right papers to give more accent to the whole.

Alcohol inks and embossing

This card came from a mistake - I had stamped and embossed my image on glossy cardstock that I had used alcohol inks on with bronze and white embossing. So I just punched out squares and made a grid instead.

Two ATC's grids

I entered these in for a competition at the Crafty Individual website as I used lots of their images and stamps.

A stamped grid

Only used stamped images on this grid, all stamps are Hero Arts.

Changing up the design

The design is a bit different on this card, but I've incorporated papers and images of which I have no other scraps in my basket - so it's a nice reminder of the patterned paper I once used to use!

Like patchwork!

More scraps punched into squares and patchworked onto a card.

Pink and red grid

I really enjoyed making this. I decided to use all the scraps with these colors that I had left in my smallest scrap basket and there was just enough to make this! And they all just 'fit' together!

A grid sketch

I joined in a challenge using this sketch that was provided. I used Stamping up stamps as well as Hero Arts abstract design stamps which I found on Ebay for five dollars, such a bargin!

Autumnal colors for a challenge

Using bigger scraps this time, very enjoyable to do!

Grid in the form of an Arch

This is my second arch grid card. So much fun to make and I hope it will be published in a book about arches which Nancy Maxwell James is working on!

This was in the Stamper's Sampler

I made this quite a while ago and was thrilled that it was publised!

A Christmas grid card

Most of the papers are scraps from Basic grey

Mix and match and added sewing

Another way to use up all the snippets and cut-outs which need to find a home. The added feature to this card is sewing, which I love to do ...
