Another way to use up all the snippets and cut-outs which need to find a home. The added feature to this card is sewing, which I love to do on paper, rather than fabric.
Love making these puzzles!

Magazine cover grid-mail
Changing the source, but still the same style, I have been playing with old magazine covers and punching out inchies to create these cards.
The backdrop for this card is from an old book, so definately recycled!
The backdrop for this card is a very old French music book which was in a book bin.
Running out of magazine covers so these might be a limited edition.

A die-cut Grid
I love this die-cut grid. There are so many possibilities with it.
I think the card explains itself.
Have a lovely day!

Mixed-grid
Time to use up the scraps again. This time I pulled out the tiny square punch-outs and the bigger square punch outs to pull this together in a die-cut grid... which has become a favorite. Before I empty the paper bin I see if there is anything my punches can salvage. Then I put them into a tiny plastic chest of drawers to use at a later time, like today.
It is so satisfying to recycle and find a home for every piece of paper!

A die-cut grid
It's taken five months for a new post.... but I have been inspired with a die-cut I found which really suits the style I love.
As I am now the owner of a cuttlebug, it opens a new dimension of crafting.
I am so pleased to be using up some more papers from the everlasting pile. Actually my pile always get used in one way or another.
This is the second one and I used the diecut the other way around. In total there are four ways to use it... and I die-cut it on an old sheet of paper from a Nature Book. So not only can I use bits and pieces of loose paper, I don't even have to use card-stock for the template.
This is another combination, using a Bible verse.
For those who have asked, this is the diecut and I bought it from WISH in China.

Another mixed grid
I had this lying on my desk, a little puzzle, that I finished today.
Just a mix and match of papers, too precious to throw away.
Hope you are enjoying your summer!

Mixed grid
There are so many different types of grid cards. This one I will call a 'mixed grid' as you have a 'mixed grill' in food as well.... lol
I couldn't get a good photo, so had to scan it.
Hope it might inspire!

Using a Scrapbook stamp
Just a quick post to share a card I made which is quite big 6"x 6" using up the scraps. I have to admit that I am short of scraps!! I have just plain used every one up....
And here is my template, the large scrapbook stamp from Hero Arts:
I couldn't do it in one sitting though and I had to have patience to complete it.
I think this would look nice in pink tints too.

Stamping on grid when finished
This might not 'flow' perfectly in your eyes, as I wondered about that myself, but its an example of stamping on a grid after the grid has been formed (and these squares needed a home :).
The postmark, flower and sentiment were stamped to add effect.

Fall color grid
I just had to give this a try - with all the leaves I have punched out, I could make at least another ten of these and they are so easy!
I added some gems just to make it sparkle!
An enjoying pastime this Sunday afternoon.

Alcohol inks
Here I am using the Penny Black Flower Cascade stamp which has been stamped and embossed on glossy cardstock twice, once embossed in white and once embossed in gold. Choosing different areas I punched out three squares from the white part, three from the gold part and assembled to form a grid.
Can be used for different occassions.

Using up the scraps
So thankful when I can use up the scraps to make grid cards - and a card can always be a blessing to somebody.
And my second one using up all the blues and browns.
I hope you never throw the scraps away!

Home Decor Project in Grid fashion
Not squares this time but punched out Tags! It doesn't really matter what shape the grid forms, it's just the pattern and paper mix that gives a grid its effect. I loved making this!
I hope it gives you some ideas and inspires you to make one yourself, and if you do, I'd love to see it.
The tags are 5 1/2 by 3 1/4 cm, or 2 1/4 by 1 1/4 inch.

Spring
I had forgotten all about this card that I made sometime last year.
But as Spring is with us, it is relevant for this time of the year!

Postal Stamp
I stamped six times with a Postal Stamp from Hero Arts on a piece of text paper. I then did the same on patterned papers. I then cut out the centres and adhered to the text paper.
I added stamp stamping and a cut-out butterfly and prima flower.
Happy Sunday!

Two vintage grids
I always seem to use this stamp in January. Two recent grid cards in the vintage style. I have had good mileage out of this large stamp from Hampton Art.
This second one is very busy but I love doing this at times.
and so you can see the stamp I used, this is a card I made last year around this time, it got sold on Etsy:
I hope to have inspired you to save all the scraps, even the tiny pieces so that you can punch out squares and circles and just fit them all together to form a grid card!
Happy Sunday,

Christmas grid
Hoping you all had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year.
I did post this on my other blog but it really needs to be posted on this blog as it is an alcohol ink inchie card stamped and gold/white embossed.

Mini inchies on a Tag-Card
I was recently in the United States and visited Michael's in Orlando. What a great store. I found a huge Paper Pack and this tag has been cut out from one of the sheets.
I adhered mini inchies to the centre and on this tag and using dimensional tape attached it to the middle of my card after adding some white ribbon. I used a free download swallow to decorate it.
I have to scan my cards nowadays as the photos I take don't reflect the real colors.
Thanks for popping by!

Fall colors
I wanted to use the Fall colors for a grid, so I picked out these six squares which were in my little 'punched out squares' tray to make another grid. Love this season.
Have a lovely Sunday.

Gold, purple and black
Using punched out squares from projects that did not amount to anything. This time I used two squares, relatively similar, to achieve a different effect. The swallow is a free download. I already miss them dipping into the pool for water in the evenings although our weather is still beautiful and warm!
Thanks for visiting!
